This year’s upcoming Berlin Fashion Summit will cover the exciting topic of Fashion for Positive Impact: Regenerative Transformation, which will take place from the 5th to the 7th of September. The summit will address a variety of thought-provoking topics that will inspire—on a creative and business front—industry change. The theme of this edition is about Regenerative Transformation in the Biosphere, Technosphere, and Metasphere: the three-day program includes insights into the Six Goals of Regenerative Transformation to drive positive impact in Fashion.

The Berlin Fashion summit kicks-off on Monday, the 5th of September, at 4:00 pm, with a press opening. The event begins with a prelude into Regenerative Transformation in the Biosphere, Technosphere, and Metasphere with a panel of experts including Anna Franziska Michel from Yoonaverse, Friederike von Wedel-Parlow from the Beneficial Design Institute, and Katya Kruk from Armedangels.

This year’s upcoming Berlin Fashion Summit will cover the exciting topic of Fashion for Positive Impact: Regenerative Transformation, which will take place from the 5th to the 7th of September. The summit will address a variety of thought-provoking topics that will inspire—on a creative and business front—industry change. The theme of this edition is about Regenerative Transformation in the Biosphere, Technosphere, and Metasphere: the three-day program includes insights into the Six Goals of Regenerative Transformation to drive positive impact in Fashion.

The next two days of the event are designed to cover relevant topics on the Six Goals of Regenerative Transformation in chronological order. Therefore, the official welcome will take place Tuesday, September 6th, at 9:30 am. This second day of the Berlin Fashion Summit will begin with the theme of the Biosphere and develop on the first three goals of Regenerative Transformation:

1. Design for the Biosphere: Regenerative Materials & Innovations: Restore Biodiversity & Reverse Global Warming

2. Regenerative Cultures: Build Culturally & Socially Restorative Systems

3. Regenerative Business Initiatives: Build Diverse Creative Economies

To close the event, The Berlin Fashion Summit’s partner VORN, The Berlin Fashion Hub, will host a networking party at 7:00 pm with food, drinks, and music.

The third and last day will also begin at 9:30 am and will focus on the theme Technosphere and Metasphere. It will cover the three remaining goals of Regenerative Transformation:

4. Trust and Transparency: Create Equity Across Supply Chains

5. Technosphere and Technological Innovations for Positive Impact: Reverse global warming II

6. Regeneration.

The day will close with a panel on the topic of “How to Regenerate in the Metaverse” with digital fashion expert and designer Paula Kühn from Ape Unit. This panel is also ideal for those who are curious about the possibilities blockchain presents to the fashion industry.

This fourth edition of the summit includes 3 Days of Live Programming as well as masterclasses and workshops that will thrill hands-on learners.

For those who prefer to listen and learn from experts, the summit will include more than fifty international cross-disciplinary speakers, exhibitions curated by industry leaders, Meet & Greets and Networking Opportunities. There will also be a Community Space and Café to relax and enjoy forming part of this diverse group that inspires and exchanges ideas, knowledge, and a fun time.

Other unmissable events include conferences, during which experts, researchers, fashion labels, industry stakeholders and other creative minds to debate, discuss, present progressive projects around sustainability, digitalization, and innovation for fashion products, for the industry and for a new culture. There will also be a Pop-Up Think Tank‚ Young Talents’ edition, and a textile exhibition by The Dutch initiative All Good(s) that will present exciting, novel solutions to material production. Throughout the three-day event, there will be keynote presentations, interviews, expert panels, talks, a guided tour, and lots of networking.

The Berlin Fashion Summit will give way to a variety of innovative topics dealing with sustainability and digitisation to drive industry change. This fall’s 202030 edition brings a curious and passionate community together to exchange ideas on innovative topics on merging the biosphere, technosphere and metasphere.
