They're handmade from 18-karat gold-plated silver, each set with a bold Akoya baroque pearl enriched with a green emerald eye - a symbol of protection and good luck. 18k Gold-plated Silver, Emeralds (0.60 carats), Akoya Pearls.
An additional layer of palladium plating is added to protect gold from oxidation.
